the clouds (p. 69-84)
sokrates is teaching strepsiades more stuff now. he keeps telling the guy to lie down on a bug-infested mattress while he's teaching him. like torture or smth
sokrates gives him a couple of scenarios and instructs strepsiades to think and basically come up with solutions.
1 what should he do to swindle the people who lent him money?
a: steal the moon so it doesn't rise anymore. he doesn't have to pay for his interest (the interest is due on the last day of the month when the moon rises.)
2 when you're threatened with a lawsuit, what do you do?
a: use a magnifying glass to melt the wax tablet that the charges were written on
3 how to defend yourself when you don't have a witness?
a: kill himself because they can't sue a corpse.
sokrates gets ragebaited hard that he quits teaching him. strepsiades calls on the clouds.
